UPSC Assistant Professor Eligibility Criteria:
Educational
Qualification:
1. Specialist
Grade III (Microbiology or Bacteriology) –
Educational: As indicated in Part-A, Section-A in Schedule-VI of CHS amendment
Rules, 2019 i.e. Doctor of Medicine (Bacteriology); or Diplomate National
Board (Bacteriology) or Doctor of Medicine (Microbiology); or Diplomate
National Board (Microbiology); or Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of
Surgery with Master of Science (Medical Bacteriology); or Master of Science
(Medical Microbiology) with Doctor of Philosophy (Medical Bacteriology); or
Master of Science (Medical Bacteriology) with Doctor of Philosophy (Medical
Bacteriology); or Master of Science (Medical Bacteriology) with Doctor of
Science (Medical Bacteriology); or Master of Science (Medical Microbiology)
with Doctor of Philosophy (Medical Microbiology); or Master of Science
(Medical Microbiology) with Doctor of Science (Medical Microbiology).
Experience: At least three years’ experience in the concerned Specialty or Super
Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree or five years’
experience after obtaining the Post Graduate diploma.

2. Specialist
Grade III (Pathology) –
Educational: As indicated in Part-A, Section-A in Schedule-VI of CHS amendment
Rules, 2019 i.e. Doctor of Medicine (Pathology); or Diplomate National Board
(Pathology) or Doctor of Philosophy (Pathology) or Doctor of Science
(Pathology).
Experience: At least three years’ experience in the concerned Specialty or Super
Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree or five years’
experience after obtaining the Post Graduate diploma.

3. Assistant
Surgeon/Medical Officer –
Educational: A recognized medical qualification included in the First Schedule or
Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate
qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) shall
also fulfill the conditions stipulated in subsection (3) of Section 13 of the
said Act.

4. Senior
Assistant Controller of Mines –
Educational: (A) (i) Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in Mining Engineering
from a recognized University or Institution. (ii) Five years experience in
core Mining activity in:- (a) Managerial position in Metalliferous (Non-coal)
mines which includes the period as graduate or management or junior trainee
engineer, or (b) Government Department dealing with mines and minerals as
Gazetted Officer OR (B) (i) Master of Engineering or Technology in Mining
Engineering from a recognized University or Institution. (ii) Three years experience
in core Mining activity in:- (a) Managerial position in Metalliferous
(Non-coal) mines which includes the period as graduate or management or
junior trainee engineer, or (b) Government Department dealing with mines and

Desirable: Desirable qualification holding Post Graduate qualification in
Homoeopathy: Experience of working as R.M.O and/or Senior Resident and/or
House Physician in a Homoeopathic Hospital attached to a Homoeopathic Medical
College permitted by Central Council/Central Government OR Desirable
qualification holding Post Graduate degree in concerned subject recognized by
the Medical Council of India: Experience of working as R.M.O. and /or Senior
Resident and/or House Physician in a Hospital attached to a Medical College

Fee/Exam Fee for UPSC Assistant Professor:
(a) Candidates (Except Female/SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability
Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of
Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any
branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of any bank or by
using Visa/Master/Rupay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI payment.
(b) No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community. No
“fee exemption” is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and
they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
(c) Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and
summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection would be
entertained.
(d) Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can
the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
