1. Research
Scientist – MD or MTech or equivalent or
Ph.D or corresponding degree in any are of Life Sciences/Medical Sciences
with one year of post-qualification research experience.

Desirable Qualification & Experience/Job
Responsibilities: Establish proof of
principle for microbiome-based interventions in (i) Inflammatory bowel disease
and (ii) Pre-term birth

Desirable work: The Candidate will work with the existing team in THSTI on the high
throughput multi-omics data of (i) vaginal microbiome of Indian women with
term and preterm birth outcomes and (ii) gut microbiome of patients suffering
from chronic and acute infections.

Work experience:

(i) Candidate should have competencies and work experience in (a)
Genomics and Metagenomics or (b) Handling LCMS and Proteomics and Big-data
analysis.

(ii) The work experience should be supported by relevant publications
as the first author/equally contributed first author or corresponding author.

(iii) Candidates must have the competency to operate the NGS platform
or LC-MS platform.

2. Senior
Technical Assistant – Master’s degree in any
branch of Life Sciences / Biotechnology or equivalent with one year post-qualification
experience in the relevant field.

Desirable Qualification & Experience/Job
Responsibilities: The project involves
the application of protein expression, purification, molecular biology
techniques.

Desirable: Working knowledge of viral protein expression and purification.

3. Technical
Assistant – B.Sc./ Three years Diploma in
Engineering & Technology from a recognized University.

Desirable Qualification & Experience/Job
Responsibilities: The candidates should
have hands-on experience on DNA & RNA sequencing, analysis of antibiotic
resistance genes, culturing antibiotic resistant bacteria.

4. Laboratory
Technician – B.Sc./ Three years Diploma in
Engineering & Technology from a recognized University.

Desirable Qualification & Experience/Job Responsibilities: The candidates should have hands-on experience on DNA & RNA
sequencing, analysis of antibiotic resistance genes, culturing antibiotic
resistant bacteria. Knowledge in molecular biology, microbiology and
biochemistry. Able to communicate well, understand scientific communication,
willing to learn, travel to collaborating sites for procuring samples, data
entry, able to manage research lab and involve in inventory and routine
maintenance of the lab, media preparations and sample storage.
