Lenovo’s ThinkBook lineup is sort of like the anti-ThinkPad. Aimed at SMBs, it’s a more modern take on a business laptop while ThinkPads are tied down to legacy features like the TrackPoint and the all-black design. ThinkBooks maintain quality, but have shallower keyboards, aluminum builds, and more. I’m a fan.
The ThinkBook 15p is obviously aimed at creatives, packing the kind of hardware you’d need for photo editing, graphic design, and so on. It has an Intel Core i7-10750H, a 45W hexa-core processor, along with Nvidia’s Geforce GTX 1650 GPU.
The display is probably the big story though. It’s 15.6 inches with 4K resolution, but it’s also Pantone-validated, meaning that it has accurate colors, a must for creative professionals. It supports 100% Adobe color gamut and supports 600-nit brightness.
It has the modern design that you’d expect from a ThinkBook, right down to the fingerprint sensor in the power button that scans your fingerprint before the PC even boots up. As for ports, there are two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, Ethernet, HDMI 2.0, and 3.5mm audio. Check out the unboxing video below:
