Essential
qualifications: Ph.D in Meteorology
/Atmospheric Sciences/ Oceanography/ Physics/ Applied Physics With
Meteorology or equivalent subjects as the main subject or ME/M.Tech in
Atmospheric Science/Ocean sciences with at least 3 years of research
experience with at least one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI)
journal related to Atmospheric/ Oceanic/ Climate Sciences

Desirable: Well acquainted in computer programming, Linux etc and publications in
peer reviewed journals related to atmospheric/oceanic/climate sciences.
Demonstrated skill in weather and climate modeling/ observational techniques
and data analysis etc supported by peer reviewed publications

18 -35 years as on 25.07.2023 ( closing date for receipt of online
applications), upper age relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST and 3 years in
case of OBC(non-creamy layer) candidates. Age relaxation as per Government of
India orders is applicable for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) and
Ex-Servicemen. SC/ST/OBC/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates should produce
relevant Certificate as issued by the competent authorities for availing
upper age relaxation.

1. Research
Associate-I – Rs.47000/- per month
(consolidated payment) and House Rent Allowance as applicable(if they are not
provided with hostel accommodation). In addition, the Research Associates are
eligible for medical benefits for self and Leave entitlement as per the rules
of SDSC SHAR.The candidates selected will not be entitled to any benefits or
concessions admissible to regular employees. The above provisions are liable
to change/revise from time to time as per Government policy.

There will be a non-refundable Application Fee of  Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty
only) for each application. Fee may be paid online through Debit
Card/Internet Banking. If the candidate could not make the payment of
application fee due to transaction failure or otherwise within the due
date/time, he/she can pay the fee upto the next day of closure of on-line
application registration (i.e., before 1700 Hrs on 26.07.2023) by clicking
‘Make payment’ option available in the on-line recruitment portal. No other
mode of payment will be acceptable and the fee will not be refundable under
any circumstances. (Candidates making online payment may kindly note that
SDSC SHAR shall not be responsible for pending transactions or transaction
failures).
