HP’s new Envy 14 was its only consumer PC announcement at CES this year. The new PC’s claim to fame is that it’s jumping on a trend that we’re seeing more and more across the industry: it has a 16:10 display. Indeed, the 14-inch 16:10 display is 11% taller than a 16:9 display, and since screens are measured diagonally, the different aspect ratio means that the screen has a larger surface area.
And not just is the screen bigger, but it’s better. The 1920×1200 display comes with Delta E
The Envy 14 has the internals for creators too. The unit that HP sent me has a Core i5-1135G7, so it has Iris Xe graphics, but it also comes with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti graphics. All of that comes with 16GB RAM and a 256GB SSD for $1,249.99, which is pretty impressive.
